Focus and Scope
The scope of the national symposium for community service for lecturers, researchers and university students is the dissemination and presentation of community service activities; an increase in the number of scientific article publications as a result of community service activities, especially in the field of social humanities, among college academics; improvement of community service programs in the field of financial literacy and inclusion based on problems and critical issues within
- social engineering and rural development,
- study of economics and human resources,
- entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and MSMEs,
- character education and competitiveness, as well as
- creative economy;
Furthermore, this national symposium is only focused on the presentation of scientific articles on the results of community service activities carried out by academics in higher education based on critical problems and issues in the community, and increasing the number of reputable and open-access national journals that publish articles - scientific articles from the community.

Peer Review Process
- The committee will select articles based on the suitability of the field of science and the style of the environment, then the committee will remove the author's identity in the article,Â

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Purpose of Activity
The National Symposium on Community Service "Empowering Communities through Inclusion and Financial Literacy for Development" was carried out in the context of responding to the Strategic Plan for Strengthening Research and Development of Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (2015-2019), in which the objective was "Increased Relevance and Productivity of Science and Technology Research and Development" and the active efforts of HSBCPSF and Sampoerna University to be involved in increasing financial literacy and inclusion, through the media of community service and scientific publications in universities. Furthermore, the implementation of this activity aims to:
- Realizing the excellence of community service programs in universities;
- Increasing the competitiveness of universities in the field of community service;
- Increase the number of participation of lecturers, researchers, and students in carrying out community service;
- Increasing community service management capacity in universities;
- Providing a forum for lecturers, researchers and student service providers to be able to present and publish community service activities that are expected to provide inspiration for the wider community to be able to make changes for the better;
- Increasing the number of scientific publications by academics in national and international journals that are developed from the results of community service activities.
- Establish effective partnerships between the financial services sector, banking industry, higher education, government financial management institutions, and regional governments in enhancing the development of the financial sector through research, community service activities, and scientific publications.
- Increase the level of Indonesian financial literacy and inclusion through community service activities, especially among college academics.
Outcome
The results of these activities are:
- Each participant has the opportunity to socialize and present community service activities;
- The increasing number of scientific article publications as a result of community service activities, especially in the field of social humanities, among college academics;
- Increased community service programs in the field of financial literacy and inclusion based on problems and critical issues in [a] social engineering and rural development, [b] studies of economics and human resources, [c] entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and MSMEs , [e] character and competitiveness education, and [f] creative economy;
- Increased number of reputable and open access (open access) national journals that contain scientific publications resulting from community service;
- Improving Indonesia's position in scientific publications in the international arena, especially in the field of community service.
Symposium Method
The national symposium method of community service for lecturers, researchers, and students at the college include: seminars, scientific article presentations, and discussions on the practice/implementation of community service activities carried out, either by lecturers/researchers or students in the format of student creative programs (PKM). This activity will take place for 1 (one) day and be interactive between participants. The results of this activity are the publication of scientific articles as a result of community service activities conducted by lecturers, researchers and students in universities or other symposium participants in the form of proceedings and reputable and open access (open access) national journals that are relevant to critical problems and issues in society.
Topic of the Symposium
The topic of the symposium covers all the problems and critical issues in the community in the social humanities, which discuss various critical topics/issues within
[a] social engineering and rural development,
[b] study of economics and human resources,
[c] entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and MSMEs,
[d] character education and competitiveness, as well as
[e] creative economy, in empowering people through inclusion and financial literacy for development.
Target of the Symposium
Participants who will attend the national symposium are:
- Lecturers, Researchers and Students who carry out community service activities in the field of social humanitarianism, especially those related to financial literacy and inclusion based on critical issues and issues in [a] social engineering and rural development, [b] economic and source studies human power, [c] entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and MSMEs, [e] character education and competitiveness, and [f] creative economy.
- Regional government staff related to the community welfare sector (Bappeda) to provide input/suggestions for community service activities based on problems and critical issues in the community.
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are actively involved in various community empowerment programs and activities.
- Observer and activist (activist) of community empowerment.
Requirements for symposium participants
- Lecturers, Researchers and Students who conduct community service activities in the field of social humanitarianism, especially those related to problem-based financial literacy and inclusion and critical issues in [a] social engineering and rural development, [b] economic and human resource studies , [c] entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and MSMEs, [e] character and competitive education, and [f] creative economy;
- Having full article (full article) that discusses community service activities and value added if it is multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary;
- Regional government staff related to the community welfare sector (Bappeda) to provide input/suggestions for community service activities based on problems and critical issues in the community;
- Managers of journals that are willing to select and publish articles as a result of community service activities in the field of social humanitarianism, especially those related to financial literacy and inclusion based on problems and critical issues in the community; and
- Recommended by the head of the local college, for participants from the campus.
