Community Empowerment Efforts through Cupping Training Towards Healthy and Smart Bekasi [Upaya Pemberdayaan Masyarat melalui Pelatihan Bekam Menuju Bekasi Sehat dan Cerdas]

Abstract

This Community Service activity refers to the Bekasi city Government program, namely Towards Smart and Healthy Bekasi with An Ihsan Nuance. Efforts made by the Bekasi City Government include improving the health and welfare of the community, through various training in various fields. The Bekasi Government and the Al Fatih Ibaadurrohman Foundation as elements of society and academics from Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University formed a collaboration by holding an entrepreneurship training so that the results are maximum and useful for residents of Bekasi City. The objectives of the activity are: 1) As counseling of public health education and training, 2) As counseling of improving the quality of the spirit of community entrepreneurship. The location of activity is in the East Bekasi District. The trainees are amounting to 118 people. Training methods include the theory and practice of Cupping and provision of entrepreneurship. Cupping is a practical, inexpensive, safe and easy method to learn by the community. This method is useful for maintaining health and treating diseases. The final result of this activity is the achievement of an optimal degree f health, improvement of skills and community empowerment in the economic field.
